Always the odd one out, Isaura Ramirez will crack you up with her unexpected take on American culture. As a Latina combat veteran, she draws from her unique experiences growing up in Puerto Rico, serving in the military, and being the token minority among her friends.
Ramirez is a retired Army Captain, and a graduate of the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP)'s Comedy Bootcamp - the only stand up comedy class exclusively for veterans. She has performed at the White House, New York City's Gotham Comedy Club, the Virginia Beach and Richmond FunnyBone, The Brooklyn in Miami Beach, Cozzy's Comedy Club, Walter Reed Hospital, Fort Eustis, Langley Air Force Base, Kimball Theatre, Muscarelle Museum of Art, Comedy Club of Williamsburg, and The College of William & Mary.
In addition to having performed up and down the East Coast, she has served as an instructor and mentor to aspiring veteran comics from Comedy Bootcamp class. What keeps her most busy is taking care of her six year-old daughter, Lala.
